as per the mumbai film library, all these songs were interpretation of folk songs when pakistan didnt existed. P.S. it barely exists now..,

just 2-3% songs are remakes of songs of others and they are sung by mediocre singers not lata mangeshkar asha bhosle kishore kumar or rafi. lata asha have sung all original songs most are better than whole life records of nur jehan. just a couple of songs of nur jehan like "chandnein raatein" "damadam mast kalander" were smashing hits after she went to pakistan but lata has sung 100s of smashing hits better than nur jehan in movies like razia sultan, bada dukh dina-ramlakhan, asha in umrao jaan
