It's beautiful. Thanks for translating and giving me information. It is only now that I understood the expression: Music is the universal language.

@optimistsRUS thanks for the translation... i'm ok with the everyday spoken hindi/urdu but this is quite technical with the vocabulary and phrases which makes it harder to understand

@thespianrico
The ghazal describes the feelings of an abandoned admirer who disheartened to the extreme. Read my attempted translation in the posts below.

(part4)
Hum naghma-saraa kuchh ghazloun ke, hum soorat-gar kuchh khwaaboun ke
Bay-jazba-e-shauq sunaaen kya, koi khwaab na ho to bataaen kya
I am the singer of some ghazals, I am the sculptor of some dreams
Without the passion what do I tell now, when there is no dream what do I relay now

Ik aag gham-e-tanhaai ki, jo saaray badan mein phail gai
Jab jism hi saara jalta ho, phir daaman-e-dil ko bachaaen kya
A fire of grief of loneliness, that spread to the entire body
When the whole body is burning, why save the covering of the heart now

(part2)
Ik Hijr jo hum ko laahaq hai, taa-der usay dohraaen kya
Woh zehr jo dil mein utaar liya, phir us ke naaz uthhaen kya
The desertion that I am afflicted with, why repeatedly mention it
The poison that I have let into my heart, why pamper it now

Let me take a quick amateur shot at translation, it doesn't do justice to the beautiful poetry :
Woh ishq jo hum se rooth gya, ab us ka haal sunaaen kya
Koi mehr nahin, koi qehr nahin, phir sacha sher sunaaen kya
The love that has abandoned me, What to talk of it now
There is no affection, there is no calamity, what true verse shall I say now

@thespianrico that's a good question.... it's in Urdu language.... i'm british pakistani so my urdu skills are quite weak lol... it would be good if someone translated this .... "woh ishq jo humse rooth gya....ab uska haal batayein kya" - she's saying something about her love and how it turned it against her
this lady was born in undivided india and grew up amritsar... after partition she moved to Pakistan ... she's one of the most famous singers in the country
