I tried to restring my Marcus Miller Jazz Bass with some ernie ball super slinky round wound and I tried everything to string it and the string comes out way too close to the fretboard and I can't play. Can anyone help me please? I know i look like a complete idiot but I need help :( Please?

@Matta212121 just go in store and ask for average normal strings, the brand doesnt really matter
