I think that EWQL HS is still the better program.
Actually u spend 999€ for this program and 1300€ for HS and HB in a bundle so that would be the better choice

I completely agree with your comment. I still need to hear a real violin. All samples equal what kind, have all the same illness.A "windy sound" just under the sound, and in higher regions always appear some "artificial glassy" sound, which is not present in a real violin sound. To my mind, the sharp glass sound is because of some deformation of the harmonics, all false harmonics.
The only solution is to equalize the sound in the higher regions.A dip of 3-4 db can solve the problem.

no vst is the best its just different. different recording styles, available options in the vst engine, different articulations, how many mics, and different players. i personally like kontakt 5 orchestra samples and EastWest. and in my experience, ill always have to adjust the sound to get it the way that i want. ultimately its up to you and how you use it that makes it the best for you.

Man can you tell me how you program it.I don't have a sustain pedal

exactly! you can make a "digital" signal sound "warm" without audio processing. the only people i've known to complain, really, are the people who can't mix good and think they need bigger, better, more analog, more digital, ect. i mean i know i am not at the level of mixing that i want to be, nor do i brag on what level i am at, but i DO know that the ratio of mixing skills versus equipment favors mixing skills over equipment by a long shot. Just my Opinion. lol :)

I agree on most, can you name those two products? im looking for some real (most realistic possible at least) sounding strings on a vst.

By the looks of the screen behind Kontakt there, I'd say Sonar. Probably 8. |
